Bosa's Bugs Bunny in a tuxedo for Warner Bros.'s 100th anniversary.
Bosa dresses the official bunny mascot of Warner Bros: The Shiny Bugs is a vibrant and bright special edition project designed by Vittorio Gennari for the 100th anniversary of the company founded in 1923 by the four Warner brothers.
Warner Bros has selected Bosa as a partner to celebrate an important event: the studios' 100th anniversary. Bugs Bunny, the mascot, becomes The Shiny Bugs , a sculpture made of fine ceramic.
For this co-branded special edition project, which will be available for a limited period of two years, Vittorio Gennari reimagines the character with a mischievous, amused and seemingly innocent demeanor. He creates a balanced figure with rich material textures, bright colors and metallic surfaces.
Smart, funny and cheeky, Bugs Bunny is one of the most famous and globally represented film characters, even having his own postage stamp in the USA and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Although it first appeared in the late 1930s, it is still a popular symbol of wit and intelligence, perceived as a positive sign by new generations.
To celebrate the occasion, Bugs Bunny dresses elegantly, in keeping with his sophisticated personality. It shows many details and shiny accessories, decorated with shiny glazes and precious metals, creating a beautiful contrast to the fur parts with a delicate satin effect.
The details are redesigned by updating the character's story. From the golden gloves, reminiscent of the yellow version worn by Bugs Bunny at the beginning, to the fur on his paws, as is the case in the latest film Space Jam 2, a reboot of the 1996 cult film in the basketball universe , which is referenced by his large shoes in the low poly style, a signature technique of Vittorio Gennari.
The coat alternates between blue - Warner Bros' signature color - and silver stripes and is completed with a bow tie and cummerbund. The eyes shine in the same colors as the studio: blue and yellow. The inside of the ears is chrome pink and the whiskers are designed with a three-dimensional structure that evokes the waves of the Looney Tunes logo, which is also repeated in the green-blue tone of the paws. The final detail worth mentioning is the pins on his lapel that bear the Warner Bros and Bosa logos.
